Springtime

It is gorgeous here. Flowers are popping up all over the place, the sun is shining, and the air smells rich and fresh and spring-like. I can’t help but fall in love with Portland all over again.

It would be much more fun if I wasn’t getting my ass kicked by this round of chemo. I’m on a new study and they like to start you off at full power which means a big bucketfull of blech — fatigue, gi ruckus, nausea, body aches etc.

I’m drinking a lot of tea.

In other news, Barrett launched a new website he designed for author and friend April Henry. It is DIVINE and FABULOUS and I CAN’T WAIT FOR YOU ALL TO SEE IT!

I hope everyone is having a great week!

Love to you all,

Bridget

  1. Oh, I hope you feel better quickly.

I am very encouraged to hear of this spring-y-ness there, as it is the complete and total polar opposite of spring here (look at the snow outside even now), and I will be there in Portland in a month for PLA. WOO!

  2. Good morning Bridget, So glad to hear the air is full of spring – that has to be a tonic for your battered system. I hope you feel better soon and can enjoy the lovely spring. Here it NOT spring. High today of 35 which actually seems balmy. I think of you often. Lakeview’s abuzz with the usual activity and then some. Thanks for the updates. Here’s looking at you, kid.

  3. The chemo sounds terrible! Hopefully it will be over soon and you’ll be back to your cupcake-eating self.

Are you thinking of going to the Babymouse author presentation next week at the Hollywood Library? I know you’re already bff’s with the authors, but my friend Lindsay might be going, and you two could meet! When she moved to Portland I gave her a gift certificate to Ken’s bakery, based on your love of that place.

That is so so awesome about the blog Barrett made! Oh my gosh, you two are going to be so famous.
